Basic Tracking Implementation
Our core templates are built with standard spreadsheet software formatting. Here is how you can use the files after downloading:
- Opening the File: The templates are provided in .XLSX format, compatible with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and LibreOffice.
- Daily Input: We recommend setting aside 5 minutes each evening to type in the values from your paper receipts into the "Daily Log" tab.
- Editing Categories: You can change the names of the tracking categories in the "Settings" tab. Do not delete the cells, simply type over the existing text to maintain the formulas.
- Reviewing Data: The "Dashboard" tab will automatically populate with pie charts. No manual chart creation is required.
Troubleshooting Formulas
If a cell displays an error like #REF or #VALUE, it means a formula reference was accidentally deleted. Simply use the 'Undo' function or download a fresh copy of the template from our portal.
